PIT-RADWAR S.A. signed a contract with Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace for the delivery of two Naval Missile Units

October 26, 2023 PIT-RADWAR S.A. signed an agreement with Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace (KDA) for the construction and delivery of command and communication systems for two Naval Missile Units.

This is a key agreement for the electronic part of the Polish Armaments Group. The signed contract provides for the construction and delivery of vehicles to as many as four Coastal Missile Squadrons. These will be Mobile Communication Centers (MCC), Squadron Command Vehicles (SCV), Battery Command Vehicles (BCV), Command Control Vehicles (CCV), Mobile Workshop Vehicles (MWV), Naval Command Vehicles (NCV). The total is 96 modern units - command systems, communications and missile launchers.

The total value of the contract is over PLN 1.1 billion net. The contract will be completed in 2029.

The agreement is a consequence of the contract concluded on September 5, 2023 between the Armament Agency and Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace (KDA) for the supply of coastal missile systems with NSM (Naval Strike Missile) missiles. Currently, the Navy has two NDR systems delivered under two contracts implemented by KDA. PIT-RADWAR cooperated with Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace on both contracts. The contracts were also accompanied by the transfer of technology to the Polish industry, regarding both the maintenance of elements of the NDR system and the NSM missiles themselves (which is handled by the Military Electronic Works in Zielonka), as well as competences related to the construction and integration of command and data transmission systems.
