51st edition of the Scientific and Technical Conference on Radiolocation
On 22-23 November 2023 the 51st edition of the Scientific and Technical Conference on Radiolocation took place. This year's meeting had a unique character because it coincided with the 70th anniversary of Polish radiolocation.
During the two-day meeting, divided into 4 thematic sessions and one discussion panel, numerous participants discussed the achievements, current needs and challenges of modern radiolocation.
The guests of the conference were representatives of the Polish Armed Forces, science and industry. Among them were: Sebastian Chwałek - President of the Management Board of the Polish Armaments Group, Brigadier General Michał Marciniak - Deputy Head of the Armament Agency, Brigadier General Kazimierz Dyński - Head of the Air and Missile Defense Board, Deputy Inspector of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Jerzy Kwika - Head of the Radio Engineering Troops Directorate, Major General Pilot Ireneusz Starzyński - Commander of the Air Operations Center, Air Component Commander, representatives of the Department of Armament Policy of the Ministry of National Defense and the Department of Innovation of the Ministry of National Defense, representatives of radio engineering brigades and battalions and anti-aircraft regiments. The universities were represented by a large group of scientists led by Professor Andrzej Dobrowolski, Ph.D., Engineer, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of the Military University of Technology, and Professor Mariusz Malinowski, Ph.D., Engineer, Vice-Rector for Science, Warsaw University of Technology. The guests also included representatives of management boards and specialists from companies belonging to the Polish Armaments Group.
The Scientific and Technical Conference on Radiolocation is the largest and most important Polish forum for the exchange of experiences between users, designers and manufacturers of radar devices used by the Polish Armed Forces. For nearly 60 years, it has been contributing to the development of both the Polish industry and the scientific communities supporting this industry. The organizer of the 51st Scientific and Technical Conference on Radiolocation was PIT-RADWAR S.A.
The event was held under the honorary patronage of the National Security Bureau and the Ministry of National Defense. The media patron of the conference was the Defence24 portal.
